Kristin (Dorr) DeYoung is from Waterford. Her husband, David DeYoung, was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where his parents were missionaries, then moved to Haiti at the age of 3 and lived there until the age of 10. They relocated to Negaunee, Mich., when political problems started in Haiti and they had to evacuate. Both are working in the Dominican Republic for Nuestros Pequenos …
